Ever since I was kid, I can remember being intrigued by the concept of starting a business. One of my first entrepreneurial instincts surfaced while I was watching the other children at school willing put a dollar into the soda machine. I immediately reflected on my mother buying a case of the same stuff for only a few bucks at the market and saw an opportunity to make a profit. The next time we were at the grocery store, I asked my mom if she could buy me a case of Coke if I paid her back in a week? She laughed, and said "sure Denny." The next day I filled my backpack with cold drinks and undercut the dispenser by 50%. While my allowance at home was only $5/week, I started making that much every morning in the cafeteria.
